  • When will the UK start receiving power from the East Irish Sea Transmission Project?
    The anticipated operational start date will be between 2032 and 2033, with power being generated from that point.
  • Where will the infrastructure connect to the grid?
    In the UK, we have a connection agreement with National Grid for most of the power from the Mooir Vannin Generation Project to be exported to a connection point in Penwortham near Preston in Lancashire.
  • What benefits will the development bring to the local community?
    The East Irish Sea Transmission Project will bring a range of benefits including secure renewable energy to UK citizens, helping to deliver on the UKs Net Zero Strategy, and economic benefits during the construction phase. 
  • Will there be local job opportunities?  
    The East Irish Sea Transmission Project will provide new roles for skilled employees in technical, commercial and project management disciplines. As our project advances, we anticipate providing further information regarding the specifics of these roles.
